Ingredients (Feeds 4-5):

  • 2 cans best bean chili e. g. Stags
  • 1 can best organic corn
  • 1-2 can(s) whole green chilis
  • 1 can whole tomatoes
  • 1 bag Tostitos round chips or equivalent
  • 1 bag of your favorite salad mix
  • 1 bottle your favorite dressing. Ranch or Thousand Island work well
  • 1 pound lean hamburger
  • 1 bag taco style graded cheese


Directions:

Cook hamburger into chunks in a skillet. When almost hamburger is done, add can of green chili peppers. Taste. It needs to be a little too hot as you will add the rest of the ingredients to the pan except the salad, chips and dressing. If it is not hot enough, add the other can of green chilies. Cut the green chilis into pieces about 1/2 inch square. When the hamburger is done, put the hamburger and chili into a large pan. Add the bean chili, corn and whole tomatoes. Cut up the whole tomatoes into smaller chunks, bit sized. Put salad, chips and dressing on the table. Put salad into salad bowl. Put chips into another salad bowl. The meal is ready. It goes well with lemonade.

The meal is eaten on a plate, chips are placed down first covering the plate or crumbled up. If chips line the plate the meal is eaten like nachos. If crumbled the meal is eaten as a taco salad. After the chips, add salad, then add the meat mix to the top as desired. Add cheese to liking. Add dressing. Enjoy.
